A striking pair of Murano Scavo glass lamp shades designed by Paolo Venini for Vetri Soffiati. Crafted in Italy, each shade features a sculptural double-gourd silhouette with a frosted scavo surface in a soft grey-beige tone, creating a beautifully diffused glow when paired with a fixture.

Each shade is marked “Vetri Soffiati Murano Venezia Made in Italy CX Design” and showcases the traditional Venetian scavo technique, which gives the glass its distinctive textured, archaeological-like finish. About the Designer
Paolo Venini (1895–1959) was an influential Italian lawyer-turned-designer who became one of the leading figures in 20th-century Murano glass. In 1921, he co-founded Vetri Soffiati Muranesi Cappellin Venini & Co. with Giacomo Cappellin, establishing a legacy of innovation and artistry that defined modern Murano glassmaking. Venini’s vision combined traditional craftsmanship with bold, modern forms, cementing his name as one of the most important glass designers of the era.
